ESBI sponsors U-20 International Rugby Championships 2010

ESB International is once again delighted to join the Irish Rugby Football Union in staging the home Six Nations U-20 Championship for the fifth successive season at Dubarry Park, Athlone.
This season, Ireland plays three home matches at the home of Buccaneers RFC, kicking off their campaign against Italy on Friday, February 5th at 19.35. Ireland plays Wales on Friday, March 12th and Scotland on Friday, March 19th.
ESB Chief Executive, Padraig McManus said Ireland U-20 squads have enjoyed extraordinary success at Dubarry Park. "Ireland has made Dubarry Park something of a fortress, having lost just once there in the past four seasons - and managed to precede the senior side with a recent 'grand slam' triumph", he added.
"ESB's primary sponsorships are focussed on supporting community, sport and youth. The U-20 rugby championships embrace all these elements across the island and provide a valuable platform for young emerging talent. Jonathan Sexton, Keith Earls, Cian Healy, Sean O'Brien and Sean Cronin are among the stars who played here with distinction in the very recent past, and supporters at this year's matches can expect a high and exciting standard", Mr McManus said.
Ireland will again be coached by Allen Clarke, assisted by Nigel Carolan. They are joined by a new Manager, Michael Kearney.
