ESB International - Transmission & Distribution
As part of a power utility, ESBI has extensive expertise in transmission and distribution engineering, providing a full range of services to the Irish and international power sector as well as for our parent company ESB.
ESBI provide detailed engineering services, technical studies, power system analysis, protection system design, design electrical, mechanical and civil design, plant specification, commissioning, planning and environmental applications, and full Owner's Engineer (OE) services
Our Owner's Engineering services include tender documentation, tender evaluation, contract management, site supervision and asset management services.
Over the years, we have worked on a wide variety of transmission (to 400kV) and distribution projects internationally. Currently our transmission and distribution team are working on client projects are in Bahrain, Ireland and Tanzania.
In addition to dedicated Design, Asset Management Services and Power Systems Studies teams, ESBI's Automation and Telecoms team provide automation engineering services such as national and regional control centres, substation control systems, substation supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and telecommunication systems. As a result, we have developed substantial expertise and gained a wide range of experience in relation to current technology, international standards and equipment for a multiplicity of sources worldwide.
We offer a complete range of services that encompass all stages of the asset life cycle. They can be provided as standalone solutions or as part of transmission/distribution system upgrades
