ESB International - Operations & Maintenance Portfolio

ESBI's Worldwide O&M Experience

ESBI O&M Solutions' expert team has extensive international experience in the operation and maintenance of power plants in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

This includes experience of conventional thermal plant (coal, oil, gas and peat fuels), open-cycle and combined cycle gas turbines, hydro, pumped storage technologies and wind farms. Our experience also includes operation of base load, 2-shift and peaking power plants.

Our Current O&M Portfolio

We currently provide strategic operations and maintenance services to power plants around the world totalling approximately 5,580MW.

Amorebieta, 755MW CCGT - Spain

Bizkaia Energia Power PlantProfile: The first internationally owned power plant to be developed in Spain, jointly owned by ESBI and Osaka Gas of Japan and financed and supported by a consortium of international financial institutions, the plant at Amorebieta has the capacity to supply 30% of the energy needs of the Basque Region. The gas supply to the project is supplied by Shell Espana under a tolling agreement.

Commercial Operation Date: Early Autumn 2005.

Technology: The 755MW plant is based on two GE 9FA gas turbines in a 2-2-1 configuration and it uses an air-cooled condenser.

Operations & Maintenance: ESBI O&M Solutions manages the operation and maintenance of the power station for the initial twenty-year period.
